CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME

Under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), contractors deduct money from a subcontractor's payments and pass it to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)

The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) sets out the special tax rules for contractors and subcontractors who work in the construction industry.

Services we provide to contractors:

  • Register you with H M Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a contractor

  • Verify any of your subcontractors with HMRC

  • Ensure that you pay subcontractors correctly

  • Supply HMRC with monthly returns

  • Advise you on monthly tax liability

Services we provide to subcontractors:

  • Register you with HMRC as a subcontractor

  • Verify you with HMRC on behalf of your contractor

  • Prepare your self assessment and calculate your tax refund (if applicable)

Whether you are a large contractor or a small subcontractor, Glass Accountants can take away the strain of managing your own CIS scheme.

Not sure what service you require?

I always felt up to date and in sync with what was going on with the accounts which gave me a lot of confidence as a new business owner. The security of knowing that we were fully compliant in finance acted like a springboard for the business.
